These Terms & Conditions govern the supply of services by Croydon PAT Testing (“we”, “us”, “our”) to any client (“you”, “your”).
By contacting us, requesting a quote, booking services, permitting access for work to be carried out, or making payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Our Services
Croydon PAT Testing provides Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing) services.
We also arrange and coordinate additional compliance and safety services, including but not limited to:
- Legionella risk assessments
- Gas Safty certificates
- Other property compliance services
These additional services are provided by approved third-party partner contractors, not directly by Croydon PAT Testing.
2. Subcontracted & Partner Services (Important)
2.1 We reserve the right to subcontract all or part of any service to approved partner companies.
2.2 Where services are carried out by an approved partner:
- Croydon PAT Testing acts solely as an introducer and coordinator
- The service is performed under the partner’s own responsibility, competence, and insurance
2.3 Croydon PAT Testing is not legally responsible or liable for:
- Acts, omissions, negligence, or errors of partner companies
- The quality, accuracy, or outcome of partner-provided services
- Any loss, damage, injury, or claim arising from work carried out by a partner
2.4 Any issues, claims, or disputes relating to subcontracted services must be raised directly with the partner companythat carried out the work.
3. PAT Testing Services
3.1 PAT Testing carried out directly by Croydon PAT Testing is performed in accordance with current UK guidance, including HSE and IET Code of Practice recommendations.
3.2 Testing confirms the condition of appliances only at the time of inspection. No guarantee is given that equipment will remain safe after testing.
4. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide safe, reasonable access to all equipment
- Ensure appliances are clean, accessible, and safe to handle
- Inform us of any known faults, hazards, or special requirements
You remain responsible for the ongoing safety, maintenance, and correct use of all equipment after testing.
5. Reports, Labels & Certificates
- Test labels and reports reflect the condition of equipment at the time of testing only
- A “Pass” result does not guarantee future safety, insurance compliance, or manufacturer approval
- Labels may be removed or become invalid if equipment is altered, damaged, or misused
6. Payments
- Payment terms will be confirmed on quotations or invoices
- Late payments may be charged interest and recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
7. Cancellations & Access
We reserve the right to charge for:
- Missed appointments
- Late cancellations
- Delays or failed visits caused by lack of access or unreadiness
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
- We are not liable for loss of profit, business, data, or reputation
- Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in question
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our proven negligence or for fraud.
9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our reasonable control.
10. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Website Prices, Guide Prices & VAT
13.1 Any prices shown on this website are guide prices only and are provided for general information purposes.
13.2 Due to the wide variety of business types, appliance quantities, site conditions, access requirements, and locations, we cannot guarantee pricing until a formal quotation has been issued.
13.3 All prices are subject to change and do not form a binding offer until confirmed in writing by us or our approved service partner.
13.4 Where services are carried out by an approved partner, the final price may differ from any guide price shown on our website and will be confirmed directly with the client prior to work commencing.
13.5 VAT will be added to any quotation or invoice issued by an approved service partner where they are VAT registered, at the prevailing rate.
